How It Works: Claiming and Completing Jobs
The MacroFab platform offers a multitude of ready-to-run jobs.
Make the Most of Your Extra Capacity
MacroFab's platform and software facilitate the manufacturing partner process, making it easy for you to claim and complete jobs. You’ll be able to access a regular stream of ready-to-run jobs that fit your capabilities and can immediately improve your productivity and profitability.
Before joining the MacroFab Partner Network, every potential partner gets to do a small, less complicated trial job. By doing so, both parties can focus on aligning processes.
You'll get paid for the initial job once MacroFab Quality Assurance approves it. After you're done, you'll be a MacroFab Factory Partner, able to claim jobs from the Job Board. A Quality Report will also summarize your overall inspection results.
Claiming Jobs
MacroFab's Job Board helps you decide if a job is right for you by providing key information needed to quickly evaluate and accept jobs, like:
- Job payouts and schedules
- Detailed component and placement information
- Interactive board and placement previews
- Gerber files and other design documentation
As soon as you accept the job, you'll get an automatic PO, and the job will be listed under your In Progress Jobs page. You’ll get notifications for key job activities. In addition to having access to all the job details, you will use the platform to receive the kit, mark your progress on the job, and return the completed job to MacroFab.
Completing Jobs
You will manage accepted jobs using MacroFab's technology platform to receive the kit, update progress on the work, and ship the completed job back to MacroFab. Our excellent support team will guide and support you as your job progresses through the following stages:

Receive the kit
MacroFab sends you a full kit including a copy of the BoM, PCBs, components, and stencils, tooling, and fixtures, if required.

Complete the job
Provide status updates on the platform as you progress. Keep us updated when parts get received and jobs are started, finished, and shipped.

Ship the job
Once a job is completed, return it to MacroFab for quality assurance. The platform offers shipping labels, or you can create your own.

See the quality inspection status
Each job is quality checked by MacroFab before it's shipped to customers. The QA standard is IPC-A-610H class 2 unless otherwise specified. If there are any defects, we will work with you to resolve them.

Get paid
Our quality assurance team reviews jobs within two business days. Payment will be made once QA has cleared the job.
