We’re shipping two updates to the MacroFab platform that remove friction from two very different parts of the ordering process. The first lets you add conformal coating to an order and get an instant, itemized quote. No sales conversation required. The second is a ground-up rebuild of our in-browser PCB viewer that renders your Gerbers natively and can trace copper connections across every layer of the board, even without a netlist.
Here’s what’s new.
Instant Conformal Coating Quotes
Conformal coating used to be a “talk to sales” line item. Now it’s a self-service option in the quote flow. Add it under Additional Services, choose your material, tell us what to mask, and you get an order-ready price back immediately.

Choose your material
We support a range of coatings across the major chemistry families, so you can match the coating to your environment and compliance requirements:
- Polyurethane: HumiSeal 1A33
- Acrylic: HumiSeal 1B31, HumiSeal 1B73, MG Chemicals 419D
- Silicone: MG Chemicals 422B
- Nanocoating: Nanoflow X V2 and V4
Specify what to mask
Masking is handled the way that fits your documentation. The platform automatically parses mask Gerbers to identify keep-out areas, and you can also provide masking as a PDF or specify masked components manually. Connectors, test points, and other keep-outs are accounted for before the quote is generated.

The result is a quote that reflects the real coating and masking work on your board, priced instantly and ready to order.
Meet Gerbatim™
We’ve rebuilt the PCB viewer around Gerbatim™, our new proprietary rendering technology. Gerbatim runs as WebAssembly directly in your browser and delivers true, high-resolution viewing at any level of zoom, with seamless exploration of every feature on your board. There’s no interstitial image step and no loss of detail, just your board rendered faithfully from the Gerbers you uploaded.

Trace nets on demand, no netlist needed
The headline addition is automatic net tracing. Turn on the highlight feature, then mouse over any copper element and the viewer highlights every connection tied to it, across every layer of the board, through vias and internal planes. It works even when you haven’t supplied a netlist, because it derives connectivity directly from the copper geometry in your Gerbers.

It’s a fast way to sanity-check a connection, follow a power or ground net through the stackup, or confirm a fix before you commit an order.
Try it on your next order
Both features are live now. Upload your design, add conformal coating under Additional Services, and use the new viewer to inspect your board before you order, all in the same flow.
